Thus, Indian Space programme born in the church beginning, space activities in the country, concentrated on achieving self reliance and developing capability to build and launch communication satellites for television broadcast, telecommunications and meteorological applications; remote sensing satellites for management of natural resources.

Acquisition of documents; Cataloguing and classification of documents; Journals/Serials control; Reader’s services; Developing information services/current awareness services; Database management; Monitoring printed and online resources; Digital library/institutional repository applications; Working knowledge of library management software such as Libsys and Koha; Online database searches; Website design and maintenance.
Qualification:
Graduate + First Class Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library & Information or Equivalent from recognized University/Institution.
35 years as on 01.04.2019 (38 years in case of OBC candidates).
